I'll rack this up under the category of variants in language, under
what I know as colloquialisms. Consider putting a Merkin, a Brit,
and an Aussie in the same room. They may speak the same language,
but having them talk to each other understandably is another matter
entirely. ("boot the table"... one guy kicks some furniture, another
loads it into the cargo space of a vehicle)

For those of us in the US, consider the current TV adverts with
Seinfeld in the UK learning the lingo.
